Our Grand Duke and Duchess; Tom Berenger & Laura Moretti
The Krewe of Charelston is honored that Veteran Actor, Academy Award nominee, and Golden Globe winner, Tom Berenger, has accepted the role as the Grand Duke, and Laura Moretti, his partner and soul mate has accepted the role of the Grand Duchess. Tom Berenger has starred in movies such as The Big Chill, Platoon, Inception, Training Day, Major League, and Sniper. Having filmed The Big Chill in Beaufort, SC, he is no stranger to the Lowcountry, and in fact has owned a home in South Carolina for many years.
The Krewe of Charleston was established in 2009 bringing family and friends together to celebrate the merriment of fellowship year-round, with special emphasis placed on Mardi Gras, and to support local charities with the Mardi Gras spirit.
